Looking for a wedding venue?

The wedding ceremony is one of the most sacred worship services of the church and is a joyous celebration for the families and friends of those being joined together. There are other ways and places to be married, but for those who have made Christian commitments, who want God to be part of their marriage and who understand that their vow-making is a sacred covenant, there is no substitute. It’s the aim of our ministers, church staff, and the church family itself to make every wedding ceremony a beautiful and worshipful event.
We at Bartlesville First Church are here to help make your wedding the sacred and special occasion as it ought to be.
The wedding ceremony is a civil act and officially, legally unites a man and woman in marriage. It is also a tender, permanent covenant made sacred by God. What will transpire on your wedding day is an action of God through his church, blessing the marriage of two persons, the home they are establishing, and the life they will live together.
Weddings are different from other worship services we conduct because attendance is by invitation only. Since it is a personal and somewhat private worship service, the bride and groom may have input into its planning with the pastor.
Scheduling a Wedding
Application for the use of the sanctuary or chapel for your wedding should be made as far in advance as possible to ensure that your wedding takes place on the date you choose. After submitting your request, you will be contacted by one of our church’s wedding coordinators. The wedding coordinator will contact you, set up a time to view the facilities and review our policies, and gather information about your wedding plans and needs.
Please note that no wedding is considered “scheduled” on the church calendar until the date has been approved, the officiating pastor has been notified (the church wedding coordinator will do this for you), and the application and deposit are received in the church office. Weddings scheduled after 2 p.m. on Saturdays have a slightly higher fee because the custodial staff is needed to prepare the church for Sunday use.
